Law firm closed by suspicious SRA

The Solicitors Regulation Authority has closed Consumer Credit Litigation Solicitors, the firm that worked on behalf of clients of claims firm Cartel Client Review.
The regulatory body for solicitors and lawyers says the decision was taken after it suspected dis-honesty at the firm. A spokesman for the SRA says the firm breached the Solicitors’ Code of Conduct and was closed to protect consumers.
Cartel Client Review, which operated from the same Manchester offices as CCLS, is being investigated by the Ministry of Justice.
The SRA has taken possession of all client monies and files held by the firm.
Carl Wright, chief executive officer of Cartel Client Review, says: “It is not clear what reasons the SRA had for this course of action. We will do everything in our power to ensure that the action it has taken against CCLS does not adversely affect claims being pursued by our clients.”

A considerable amount of claims firms websites dissapeared recently its all very dubious. A recent court case has seen some claims having to stump up tens of thousands in costs.
