Coulson to stay at First Complete after shake-up

RICHARD COULSON WILL OVER SEE THE SALES OPERATION
Richard Coulson will be staying on at First Complete following a management reshuffle at the network.
Last week saw the departure of Gerry O’Brien, chief executive of the company, but First Complete’s parent LSL Property Services has confirmed that Coulson will be staying on at the firm.
Jon Round, currently group financial services director at LSL, will become chief executive of the network to work alongside Mark Graves, development director at LSL Financial Services, and Coulson.
A spokeswoman for the network, says: “Round, Coulson and Graves will be working closely together to take the business forward, with Coulson managing the sales team. It’s business as usual for the network.”
John Ahmed recently quit his role as commercial director at the network, and plans to pursue other interests.
He says it was a difficult decision to move on as he is leaving at the beginning of an exciting new chapter in the life of the company.
Ahmed is rumoured to be looking at setting up his own network, or becoming part of another network.
O’Brien is believed to be planning a venture seperately from Ahmed.
Round says that O’Brien and the network mutually agreed to part company.
He says: “Having spent the past few weeks finalising the integration of Home of Choice into First Complete O’Brien and ourselves agreed to go our separate ways. “I’d like to thank him for all his help in bringing the business to this point and his hard work in helping to secure the future of the business, along with the future of First Complete’s appointed representatives.
“I wish him every success in his future career.”
LSL bought First Complete out of administration in May for £1.5m.
LSL owns the UK’s largest residential surveying operation as well as the country’s second largest estate agency network, having recently acquired the Halifax estate agency operation.
In 2009 LSL reported pre-tax profits of £28.3m.
