Virtuous cycle Mole would like to offer a big well done to Ben Thompson, director of mortgages at Legal & General, and the four other cyclists who completed their cycle trip to Spain last week to raise money for Shelter.
The total distance covered was 858 miles from L&G’s head office in Surrey to Santander.
“We set out to cycle to Spain in 10 days and that is what we did,” an exhausted Thompson told Mole.
“The team collected a few bumps and bruises along the way and we certainly felt a little saddle sore afterwards but it was worth it to raise money for Shelter.
“We are close to reaching our target amount of £20,000 but are not quite there yet. We’re planning a couple of events to raise more funds but would welcome any donations that haven’t yet come in from the mortgage industry.”
