Since the business began, some three and a half years ago.
HOW DOES IT FEEL TO BE EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH?
I am honoured. We have many top quality individuals at Chartwell and it’s our great team ethic that makes us successful, so it could have been any of us who got the nomination.
WHAT DO YOU LIKE ABOUT YOUR JOB?
I like the fact that each day is different. I love the buzz of competing for business and especially enjoy winning a deal and being able to source competitive terms for clients. The atmosphere in the office is great and helps maintain morale. Despite all the challenges we face in the industry Chartwell has remained a great place to work.
THE EMPLOYER SAYS: Mark has done particularly well during the credit crunch. He was predominantly a buy-to-let and self-build broker before but has accepted the challenge of cross-selling at every opportunity and now tops our league for protection and general insurance sales.
Mark’s efforts have won him many clients and plaudits, and the pinnacle was an individual broker nomination at a big industry awards event. As Mark rightly says, I could have nominated any of the 20 brokers we have at Chartwell but his recent award nomination swung it.
