The next recession is already riding the merry go round

If we can’t have decent growth to get us out of the proverbial, inflation is the next best thing.

Ask anyone who was around in the last three recessions - a little inflation along with low interest rates and a weak pound can work wonders.

But to counter inflation late next year we will see interest rates at a level where banks can again make a fortune from lending.

A boom will follow for a few years, with some entrepreneur heroes emerging. Then, a few years later and just when we’re least expecting it - bust. Such fun on the merry go round.
