Stop moaning about Post Office deal and move with the times
I have been upset to see so many negative responses to the specialist business insurance product offered by the Post Office.
I’ve done business with Post Office’s financial services division before. Bank of Ireland withdrew from the UK to focus on its own market and its broker arm was closed.
The Post Office built up its savings and insurance book, and lent some savings money as mortgages and loans. These were administered by BoI in Bristol. ‘The lender also administered Bristol & West’s book.
The Post Office is technically an intermediary itself so how can it pay out big fees?
Brokers should recommend direct products, charge for advice and sell other things. It’s the way the world is going.
