Halifax used to be good for brokers, but not any more
I was interested to read recently that Halifax has slashed the fees on its direct-only deals.
Halifax has promoted dual pricing on the basis that brokers can fend for themselves.
Fortunately, apart from the odd product transfer, I have not submitted a mortgage to the lender for almost two years.
I fail to understand why a lender that has worked so hard to be intermediary-friendly is now going out of its way to make our life difficult.
Halifax is offering such uncompetitive rates that I’m glad I don’t have to deal with it.
