Consumers suffer when lenders shun the broker channel
The industry needs some statistics on how shares have fallen in lenders that operate a direct-only policy or dual price.
Brokers play a big part in distribution, and lenders that support us do more business.
Surveys continue to highlight the fact that inhouse advice from banks is poor and lenders try to sell poor insurance products, leaving many consumers worse off.
Yes, in some cases they have been able to help but if we can’t access these products consumers are ultimately the losers.
