ERSA signs up Scottish member Caesar & Howie
Caesar & Howie, one of the oldest solicitor firms in Scotland, has signed up to become a member of the Equity Release Solicitors’ Alliance.
Caesar & Howie was established in 1792 and has specialised in equity release for over three years.
In 2008, Caesar & Howie were winners at the Law Awards of Scotland where they took the Up and Coming Firm of the Year and Conveyancing Firm of the Year titles.
The firm joins the six founding members specialising in equity release; Equilaw LLP, Ashfords, Gwyn James, Goldsmith Williams, Birchall Blackburn LLP and Blacks LLP.
Claire Barker, chairman of ERSA, says: “Caesar & Howie has growing experience in the equity release field and we are delighted to have the firm on board as the newest member of ERSA.
“We are committed to providing independent, specialist legal advice to consumers considering equity release and our expansion into Scotland will enable us to provide high levels of service for clients both in England and across the border.”
Carmen MacIver, partner at Caesar & Howie, says: “We are proud to become a member of ERSA, effectively an organisation that provides a kite mark for quality of service in this particular area of work.
“Our business has seen the appetite for equity release grow which we hope to continue into 2010 and beyond.”
