How long have you worked for the company? About 13 years.
How does it feel to be employee of the month? Slightly embarrassing. My colleagues all work hard towards the same goal and I would not like to give my work more importance than theirs. But if they share this accolade I am happy to accept it.
What do you like about your job? Far and away the most enjoyable aspect of my work is the people. The accounts I work with are all open, friendly and keen to develop successful relationships. Within the AfI business we have a strong team work ethic as well as a great support network.
The employer says: McCarthy is an outstanding manager who consistently delivers on his targets and regularly receives excellent feedback from his accounts, and just this month he has taken on additional responsibilities within the group. His other achievements include developing a technology-based solution that has resulted in service efficiencies. Even in challenging times McCarthy’s quick wit makes him a pleasure to work with. It’s a delight for me to recognise his outstanding help and support.
