myhomemove acquires Easier2move
myhomemove, the country’s largest independent provider of conveyancing services, has acquired Easier2move.
Ian Floyed, chief executive officer of myhomemove, says: “We acquired Easier2move because of its reputation for providing quality service and the fact that its service and Introducers complement our own. Easier2move has some great people and products, and has never been short of ideas. It also has some excellent relationships with quality conveyancing lawyers. We want to share their experience and expertise to continue our combined growth.”
Robin Marcus, outgoing CEO of Easier2move, suggests that his business is a perfect fit with myhomemove.
He says: “Like myhomemove, we have the benefit of being staunchly independent, so a deal made sense from the outset – the discussions and negotiations had the feel of an alliance rather than an acquisition.”
Karen Babington and her team remain based at Southend and now join myhomemove, which employs just under 300 staff from itd Leicester head office. Marcus will work in a consultancy role for a period before moving on to concentrate on other business interests.
