SMS moves to new offices
Solent Mortgage Services, has moved to new premises in Gosport, Hampshire, which it says will provide it with better facilities for future growth and development of the business.
Ian Balfour, CEO of SMS says the move ensures the company’s strong local connection to the South Coast area while at the same time offering scope to improve further its ability to offer products and services to intermediaries across the UK.
He says: “At SMS we are proud of our historic links to the area where the company was originally formed, so we are delighted to have only moved a short distance to our new offices in Gosport. However, having moved here, we are now in a better position to extend the services we offer as a truly national provider of financial services to intermediaries. We are now working on the next stage of enhancing the services available to the market through our award winning extranet, The Porthole.”
He adds: “We are now in a great position to ride the tide of a gradually improving economy and bring the best of new product innovation and services to the whole intermediary market.”

SMS have always been at the forefront of distribution and seem to have come to terms with the new trading environment and are now looking to move forwards. I think this is a real positive for this sector of the industry and I wish Ian and his team all the very best.
