Post Office launches mortgage broker insurance
The Post Office has launched a specialist business insurance, which it says has been tailored for the UK’s 40,000 mortgage brokers.

The Post Office says it provides brokers with access to the wide ranging covers required in the course of their business, including loss or theft of data storage/computer equipment from premises, theft of keys from premises and damage to premises following theft or arson.
Richard Pennant-Jones, head of Post Office business insurance, says: “Brokerages, like Post Offices, are at the heart of many communities across the UK.
“We are keen to extend the range of business services we offer mortgage brokers, and are pleased to be able to now offer a great value insurance service which is tailored to meet their individual business needs.”
The Post Office recently angered the broker community by launching a range of 90% LTV deals direct.
The deals are funded through its joint venture with Bank of Ireland, which pulled out of the broker market at the beginning of 2009.

How wonderfully patronising of the Post Office. After it's 'cut the broker out' non advised approach via that 'tart' Bank of Ireland - they want to offer us insurance that will help us.
My own view is that they can put their insurance policy where the sun don't shine, they are one of the last people I would buy anything for my protection needs from!

Have Mortgage Strategy charged The Post Office for this blatant advertising disguised as editorial?

What a laugh! The PO can stick their insurance product in the nearest pillar-box (i.e. where the sun don't shine!).
