Mike O’Brien appointed MD of TenetConnect

Tenet Group has confirmed the appointment of Mike O’Brien as managing director of its TenetConnect and TenetSelect brands.
O’Brien joined the group in January 2010 as RDR programme director. The move continues Tenet’s re-brand and transformation programme announced earlier this year and follows previous management appointments in sales, marketing and mortgages.
Simon Hudson, chief executive of Tenet, says: “Mike has been working with us for several months and made a very positive impact on our business,” commented Tenet chief executive, Simon Hudson.
“Mike’s appointment to the board is part of the on-going process to raise client relationship standards and service delivery in the lead up to RDR. It follows extensive analysis of our customer value proposition conducted during the course of last year.”
Prior to joining Tenet, Mike spent several years in the United States, including spells as chief operating officer (life operations), for Old Mutual Financial Network and chief executive officer for Mid-America Agency Services. He brings 30 years’ insurance experience to Tenet, spanning a range of distribution and manufacturing roles
