Melanie Bien to join Private Finance

Melanie Bien, a director at Savills Private Finance is leaving the brokerage to join independent mortgage broker Private Finance as director of communications.
She is set to join the firm in three months time and adds to the firm’s expanding team which includes Katie Tucker, former technical manager at Mortgageforce, who joined the brokerage as chief operating officer in February.
Simon Checkley, managing director of Private Finance, says “Bien is one of the best known, if not the best known, mortgage commentators in the national press, with a far-reaching and exciting future in front of her. I’m sure her contacts and experience will be invaluable to us.”
Mark Harris, managing director of Savills Private Finance, says: “We have enjoyed working with Bien for the last five years and hope she continues to enjoy success at Checkley Private Finance.”
