England dressing room broker has case postponed
Pavlos Joseph, the mortgage broker who was due to appear in a South African World Cup court today, has had his case postponed until Wednesday.

Magistrate Aziz Hamied is reported to have extended Joseph’s bail and postponed the matter until Wednesday to give the defence time to raise new issues with prosecutors, which reports suggest could lead to the dropping of charges.
Mortgage Strategy reported on Monday that the mortgage broker who stumbled into the England team’s dressing room and confronted David Beckham over their poor performance was due to appear in court today.
Pavlos Joseph, 32, is a mortgage broker at Vista Finance based in Westow Hill, London and an appointed representative of Intrinsic.
Joseph faces charges for trespassing in the England dressing room last Friday after the 0-0 draw with Algeria.
Joseph, from Crystal Palace in south-east London, has been banned from any future World Cup matches.
Reports suggest he took a wrong turn after looking for the toilet and confronted Beckham about England’s poor performance.
According to the Sunday Mirror, the mortgage broker looked at Beckham and said: “We’ve spent a lot of money getting here. This is a disgrace. What are you going to do about it?”
Joseph has been commended by his workmates and people from his local community for his actions, who say he will receive a hero’s welcome when he returns home.
On the community forum Virtual Norwood, one person commented: “The only crime committed was by the England team. I think this guy should have a hero’s welcome on his return.”

What a great publicity stunt, possibly the best form of lead generation ever! Fair play Pavlos! I just hope that the England team can show as much originality against the old enemy.

What utter tosh - another excuse making football supporter incapable of finding a loo. There were that many people around could he have not just asked someone. He knew what he was doing. He has shown up his country (as his football team did), he has committed an offence and I hope he enjoys his time in a South African prison. If he has a criminal record and he loses his job, then so be it - he should have thought of that before trespassing.
