L&G Mortgage Club offers compliance service

Legal & General Mortgage Club is offering a compliance service to its directly authorised members through Ernst & Young.
The subscription-based service is available online and provides four levels of compliance support for brokers.
The basic level of support includes compliance service documentation such as guidelines for financial promotions, complaints handling guidance, and sales process support.
At the enhanced levels brokers are provided with online help, remote documentation review and on-site consultancy.
Ernst & Young is offering an early adopter rate for DAs with L&G Mortgage Club that sign up to its compliance service by December 31, giving brokers a saving of up to £180 a year.
Ben Thompson, director of mortgages at L&G, says: “Given the increased focus by brokers to meet their regulatory requirements, compliance can prove to be quite a burden, and a drain on resources.
“We’ve joined forces with Ernst & Young to create an exclusive service to help our DA club members meet their regulatory obligations.
“It makes sense for brokers to outsource this sort of non-core activity and focus on what they do best, which is selling.”
