Charges dropped against England dressing room broker
Charges against Pavlos Joseph, the mortgage broker who stumbled into the England team’s dressing room have been dropped.
Joseph, 32, is a mortgage broker at Vista Finance based in Westow Hill, London and an appointed representative of Intrinsic.
Joseph faced charges for trespassing in the England dressing room after the 0-0 draw with Algeria.
Joseph, from Crystal Palace in south-east London, has been banned from any future World Cup matches.
It has been reported that Joseph paid a 750 rand (£65) admission of guilt fine on Tuesday.
Simon Wright from the Sunday Mirror has been accused of harbouring Joseph but denies charges.
Joseph’s defence lawyer Craig Webster is reported by the BBC to have said: “The director of public prosecution has decided to withdraw the charges on the basis that an admission of guilt fine is paid. A 750 rand fine was paid by the accused yesterday.”
