Distribution partnership launched
Commercial First last week unveiled a distribution partnership for commercial finance brokers look-ing to build up the sales and marketing sides of their businesses.
The commercial lender, which halted new lending in April 2008, has been signing up accredited partners since last summer and now has more than 100.
Commercial First Partners will act as a processor for specialist and private lenders that have capital to invest but lack the infrastructure to complete transactions with a wider group of brokers.
The idea of the partnership is to generate buying power, but CFP will also provide members with market research on lenders and identify complementary products to boost brokers’ businesses.
Stephen Johnson, sales and marketing director at Commercial First, says: “As a lender that played a key role in driving broker participation we understand how to energise and add value for them.”
