John Maclean breaks the Link

Natalie Martin
Link Lending revealed last week that its managing director John Maclean has left the firm to set up a new venture, believed to be in the bridging sector.

Maclean became managing director of Link Lending in 2006 and sat on the board alongside chairman David Johnson, chief executive officer of Commercial First, and corporate director Philip George, managing director of Commercial First.

Maclean has not yet revealed what his new venture will involve.

He says: "This is the time to get involved in a new business opportunity in the sector and I look forward to the challenges ahead."

Prior to working at Link Lending Maclean was European managing director of GE's commercial corporate credit card business and before that he established GE Consumer Finance's personal loan business in the UK.
