Cold calls

It’s no secret that brokers are a little peeved with the Financial Services Authority. Many regularly use Mortgage Strategy’s letters pages to vent their frustration about the regulator but it seems some are taking a more forthright approach.

“It’s common for brokers to call us on Friday afternoons when they’re a bit tipsy and tell us what they think of us,” says the source.
Since Mortgage Strategy is a wholesome, family magazine Mole can’t reveal what one broker called the regulator before hanging up but here’s a hint - it’s not bankers.
