Steve Haggerty leaves Crown Mortgage Management

Crown Mortgage Management has appointed Eric Stolet as chief executive ahead of Steve Haggerty leaving to take up a senior role at another company.

Stoclet will take over from Haggerty on February 1 subject to approval from the Financial Services Authority.

Stoclet is currently advising Crown and Forum Partners, a real estate investment firm and substantial Crown investor, on the sale of Crown Westfalen Bank in Germany and the restructure of some of Crown Group’s European businesses.

Previously he was group executive director at Noor Investment Group in Dubai and has also spent 25 years working with Citigroup across its global operations.

He has also spent two years launching an Islamic bank connected to the ruler of Dubai.

During his career Stoclet has been involved in commercial and residential financing, loan portfolio purchases and sales, and management of non-performing loans.

Julien Holmes will continue as chief operations officer as will Peter Walker as director of the company.

Joining the board will be Russell Platt, chief executive of Forum Partners and Richard Cotton, also at Forum Partners and a former managing director at J P Morgan/Cazenove.

Ronald Roark, who founded the company, is relocating back to the US to focus on his business interests there and will retire from Crown Mortgage Management’s board.

Meanwhile Steve Haggerty is to take up a senior role at another company within the next few weeks, which is currently subject to confidentiality constraints.

Russell Platt, chief executive of Forum Partners, says: “While I’m sorry to see Steve Haggerty leave, the scope of the job he will be taking on is a tribute to his leadership qualities and I wish him all the best.

“I’m pleased we’ve been able to assemble a talented leadership team to take Crown forward.”
