After a spell at Scottish Life he joined Mortgages plc where he was one of the lender’s most successful BDM’s.
He went on to become head of corporate development, a role in which he was responsible for relationships with networks across the UK.
Most recently he was head of asset trading at Merrill Lynch.
Julian Wells, co-founder and director of Adviser Matrix, says Fryers has an outstanding track record of working successfully with networks and advisers and believes his experience and relationships within the intermediary market make him the ideal person to lead the growth of Adviser Matrix in the coming months.
Fryers, managing director of Adviser Matrix, says: “I am firmly of the opinion that the Adviser Matrix proposition fulfils a need in the market both now and in the future.
"Clearly we are currently operating in a very challenging trading environment and the need for advisers to be able to review their business models in a simple and time efficient manner has never been greater.
"On a more specific point, the potential impact of the Retail Distribution Review throws up challenges for the industry generally and I am convinced this will lead to IFA firms reviewing their regulatory status.
"I believe the Adviser Matrix proposition is very timely and I am delighted to be joining such a visionary business at this early stage in its development.”
Adviser Matrix recently stated it would be taking on additional resource in anticipation of an increase in directly authorised mortgage and independent financial advisers who are considering joining networks.
The firm was founded in September 2008 by Julian Wells and Pete Gwilliam, both of whom continue to be actively involved in the business.
