BM Solutions and Countrywide offer EPCs
The service will be charged at £85 + VAT for an EPC which will be valid for 10 years.
From today landlords are required to provide an EPC to prospective tenants prior to marketing a property for rent. The certificate rates a property’s energy efficiency and recommends improvements to boost efficiency and reduce energy bills.
If landlords fail to comply with the new regulations they will not be able to market their property which may lead to void periods. They will also face a fine of £200.
Nigel Payne, managing director at BM Solutions, says: “We know that most brokers are already aware of the requirements facing their buy-to-let clients. We'll continue to work with them to make landlords of the changes and understand their responsibility.
“The service that we've launched with Countrywide offers a simple way for them to fulfil these obligations.”
