Get your head into cloud technology

Driving home one night last week I heard details of Amazon’s new service whereby you can upload your music to cloud technology.
This enables users to hold their digital music online and access it from any computer or Android device. The benefit of this is that you no longer have to worry if your laptop or iPod is stolen and you lose all your favourite tunes. Simply connect to the web and be reunited with your favourite numbers.
Cloud technology is the provision of computer services via the internet without the need for the user to own or run specific software.
In short you get the computerised service you want without having to understand the inner workings or the technical knowledge and hardware to support it. All you need is internet access. Imagine getting rid of all the costs associated with your desktop applications.
This includes installations, upgrades, working with old data, back-ups, servers and the space they need, not to mention the security risks and potential legal and financial implications when a laptop is stolen holding client data. Cloud technology gives you flexibility in how your business
operates, choosing the best of breed to maximise your business’ potential and select the elements of systems you believe add value.
It reduces running costs, helps to keep data safe and you know that wherever you have access to the internet you have access to your business - all of it. For once the phrase having your head in the cloud is a compliment.
